Bakeground is a baking simulator with no sign-up or login. We don’t ask for your name, email or phone number. Only if you agree, we collect bake records anonymously to make the simulation more accurate.

What we collect (only with your consent)

Bake settingsBread type, formula (g and %), mixing, fermentation, shaping and oven settings
Simulation resultsCalculated results such as completeness, volume, fermentation level, crust color and crumb
Random device IDA random string created in your browser, used only to group bakes from the same browser. It is not linked to your identity.
OtherApp version and time of the record

What we don’t collect

No name, email, phone number, precise location or photos. We don’t store your IP address with the records. Our data host (Supabase) and hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep short-term access logs for security and operations.

Why

Only to improve the fermentation and baking model to match real use, and to find common mistakes so we can explain them better. Never for advertising profiles or sale.

How long

For as long as the service runs. Records are deleted when the service ends.

Turning it off

Use “Send anonymous bake data” at the bottom of the page to turn it off at any time. Clearing your browser’s site data also removes the device ID.

Stored only in your browser

Your bake history, view settings and language choice stay in this browser (local storage) and are never sent to a server.
